  • Rajiv Kapoor is a strategic investor and entrepreneur dedicated to redefining venture investing by unlocking the power of women. Inspired by his three daughters and the many talented women leaders he’s worked with, Rajiv is passionate about identifying and supporting iconic female founders.

    As the Founding Partner of Chai Ventures, a pre-Series A fund investing in women-led businesses across industries, Rajiv is building a scalable model for women-friendly venture capital. Chai Ventures aims to level the playing field by backing exceptional female founders in wellness, human connection, and creating a better world. This mission-driven approach not only fosters a strong community but also offers a competitive edge, supporting the next generation of VC leaders. Since 2017, Chai Ventures has proudly invested in over 50 women founders—and counting.

    Rajiv’s investment track record spans both public and private markets, with early bets on companies like Tesla, Workday, and Tableau, and early-stage investments in Compt, Hacware, and Nomic. He brings proven operational expertise from his roles in a successful IPO exit (2013) and a strategic acquisition (2016). Additionally, Rajiv has provided strategic consulting on marketing, talent acquisition, and global structuring for over 100 companies, including Microsoft and Pfizer.

  • Alexandra (Alex) Chung is an Investor at Chai Ventures, where she invests in high-potential, women-led startups across consumer, healthcare, and the future of work sectors. Passionate about supporting early-stage companies, she has curated impactful deal flow, fostered strategic partnerships, and contributed to successful initial investments that align with Chai Ventures’ mission to empower women entrepreneurs. Her previous experience includes roles at Decibel, Fortress, and Loeb.nyc, where she honed her ability to identify high-growth opportunities and develop go-to-market strategies for transformative companies.

    Alex earned her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Philosophy with Allied Fields from the University of Chicago. Outside of work, she is a dedicated runner, having completed the NYC Marathon while raising funds for Tackle Kids Cancer, and is preparing for the Chicago Marathon in 2025, where she will be raising funds for the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
