Rajiv Kapoor is a strategic investor and entrepreneur dedicated to redefining venture investing by unlocking the power of women. Inspired by his three daughters and the many talented women leaders he’s worked with, Rajiv is passionate about identifying and supporting iconic female founders.
As the Founding Partner of Chai Ventures, a pre-Series A fund investing in women-led businesses across industries, Rajiv is building a scalable model for women-friendly venture capital. Chai Ventures aims to level the playing field by backing exceptional female founders in wellness, human connection, and creating a better world. This mission-driven approach not only fosters a strong community but also offers a competitive edge, supporting the next generation of VC leaders. Since 2017, Chai Ventures has proudly invested in over 50 women founders — and counting.
Rajiv’s investment track record spans both public and private markets, with early bets on companies like Tesla, Workday, and Tableau, and early-stage investments in Compt, Hacware, and Nomic. He brings proven operational expertise from his roles in a successful IPO exit (2013) and a strategic acquisition (2016).
Additionally, Rajiv has provided strategic consulting on marketing, talent acquisition, and global structuring for over 100 companies, including Microsoft and Pfizer.
Rajiv holds a B.A. in Economics from Vanderbilt University and a Masters in Management from the London School of Business.

Jessica Shah is a finance and operations leader with a strong foundation in corporate strategy, venture, and mission-driven growth. She currently works in Strategic Finance at Braze (NASDAQ: BRZE), a leading customer engagement platform, where she supports financial planning and analysis efforts to drive scalable decision-making and long-term growth.
Jessica also serves as Chief of Staff at Chai Ventures, where she leads firm operations, supports fund strategy, and works cross-functionally with portfolio founders, investors, and external partners.
She began her career at Goldman Sachs in Salt Lake City, where she worked as a Credit Risk Analyst in the Credit Research Group division, where she worked in consumer, retail, and healthcare building financial models and constructing new credit policies.
Beyond her corporate roles, Jessica is active in philanthropic and entrepreneurial ventures. She is part of the Akshaya Patra Young Professionals, supporting U.S. fundraising efforts for one of the world’s largest school meal programs. She also founded Komenci, an entrepreneurial initiative focused on storytelling and community-building around social impact
Jessica holds a B.A. in Analytical Economics and International Affairs from the University of New Hampshire.
